School Profile
McGuire College is a multi-cultural, co-educational secondary college of approximately 662 students, located in the south of Shepparton and adjoining a primary school. The school has a proud tradition within the community, initially as a technical school and more recently as a co-educational secondary college. Our uniform, which is compulsory for Years 7-12, is worn with pride.
McGuire College operations are predicated on the expectation of all members of the College community giving and receiving respect as a core value in any learning partnership. Students are encouraged to be accountable and responsible for their role in this partnership and to develop strategies for development in this regard. The College has undertaken to continually improve its perception within the community.
As an accredited member of the DEECD Select Entry Learning Program (SEALP) McGuire College runs an accelerated program for students to complete years 7-10 in three years and an enrichment program. The school is also able to offer a wide range of Vocational Education and Training (approximately eight different programs) to students from McGuire and other local schools.
