English as an Additional Language (EAL)

McGuire College has a rich mix of students from a variety of cultural backgrounds.  Many have English as an Additional Language (EAL) and we provide support for their language and literacy development.

A Leading Teacher manages the transition of students from the Shepparton English Language Centre and oversees the support for their learning in mainstream classes.
